-------------------------------------------------- 1) Funk Calls Me - Take's New Track -------------------------------------------------- A new piece by Take was uploaded on MP3.com in early March. Titled "Funk Calls Me," it's an acid jazz piece featuring the organ. It just so happened that one day when I was at home, our keyboard player Koichi came by to pick up a wallet he'd forgotten earlier. Koichi didn't stay long, but an hour later I found myself in an instrument store buying a recorded collection of funk-drum samples. Another hour later, I found I had written a tune just for Koichi. ------------------------------------------------- 2) Satori Night - Collabo with Anto ------------------------------------------------- Here's news about a collabo with Anto, who lives in Italy. I played the sax in his composition "Satori Night". "Satori" means "spiritual awakening" in Japanese. The tune itself is traditional jazz. To take a listen, go here. ------------------------------------------------- 3) Brazilian Night - Noriko's Gig ------------------------------------------------- Here's some info about a scheduled gig. Noriko will be playing in the back band of two Brazilian singers, Renni Flores and Katia Moraes. Noriko has been concentrating pretty hard on this band these past few months. Those in the neighborhood, please check it out. Here's a message from Noriko. "Hello, hope all is well. I've been working with this Brazilian band for a while now and we have a gig coming up at LaVeLee in Los Angeles this coming Friday on 28th. Show times are 8:30PM and 10:30PM.
